TYPOGRAPHY BOOK

Challenge: Research, write, and design a 60 page book exploring typography in some aspect of modern culture. In one month.

SOLUTION: Men's magazines, like Esquire, GQ, WIRED, and ESPN, have some of the most inventive and exciting typography in the magazine industry today, so I took this chance to explore in-depth the typography each magazine uses and how they compare to each other.

This project meant many long and laborious hours poring over these beautifully designed publications, and fully immersing myself in the design techniques used by each. The design echoes some of the trends utilized in each magazine, including being set in Stag, and using the seven column grid utilized in WIRED.
